Items Shipping with a Vehicle MUST be on BOL
A walk-around with a carrier assesses your vehicle at both origin and destination–similar to renting a car. In addition to any blemishes found, loose items must be noted on the Bill of Lading (BOL), if remaining in the vehicle during shipping (extra mats, keys, manuals, specialty items, etc.).
Many vehicles come with specialty branded items as a standard package, especially higher-end vehicles. Any loose item that is not part of the vehicle itself (pillows, floor mats, blankets, specialty gifts, etc.) are required to be pointed out to a carrier to photograph and also listed separately on the Bill of Lading before shipping.
Missing loose items or damage found at delivery that was noted on the BOL at origin should be reported to Team Alex immediately, along with pictures and a brief description. See FAQ titled “What to do if there is damage” for further instructions.
