When Will My Vehicle Be Picked Up?

When Team Alex receives the green light to pick up a vehicle, we immediately begin looking for carriers to suit your needs.  Once we find and assign one, we then know the estimated pickup and delivery dates and send you a dispatch notice soon after assignment with that information.

We are not normally given a timeframe for pickup, other than perhaps “morning” or “afternoon” because so much depends on the other stops before yours, not to mention traffic, issues at those other stops, construction, etc.  Carriers do their best to estimate, but a simple misplaced key, road closure or dead battery can set everything (and everyone) behind hours.

The pickup date itself could even change, depending on those variables.  Many times, a carrier will estimate picking up in the afternoon one day or morning of the following day, but we must use the earliest date so the vehicle will be ready, just in case, even though it could easily be the next day.

Cancellations of your assigned carrier can also change your pickup date. In those cases, we try to find a replacement carrier as close to your originally estimated dates, but that is not always possible.  Please refer to the FAQ titled “Cancellations, Delays & Changes in Schedules” for more information.

It is best to be prepared for the occasional transport change.  It can happen and, wherever possible, we try to keep you informed and encourage the carrier to do the same.  Watch your email and/or texting for any changes that may arise before or during your transport.
