Why Do You Need My Customer's Contact Information?

Why do you need my customer’s information?

When Team Alex coordinates shipping, sending information about their transport is critical to setting up realistic expectations for your customers.  At Team Alex, we provide information via email throughout the transport, so the customer has a good understanding of what to expect–whether they’re a shipping novice or veteran.

Team Alex’s dispatch notices contain carrier contact information for your customer.  Who better, after all, to make final delivery arrangements with than the coordinator for the carrier or the driver themselves?  We also ensure they have our direct contact info, in case they are unable to reach the carrier.

We also ask for the customer’s phone number(s).  This is shared with the carrier, so they may reach out to coordinate delivery.  None of the info we obtain about customers is shared or sold in any way–it is for the sole purpose of providing your customer the best transport experience possible.

Also included in our dispatch notices are instructions for what to do in the unlikely event damage occurs during transit.  Did you know that signing a Bill of Lading (BOL) without noting the damage indicates the vehicle was received in satisfactory condition and may prevent insurance from paying a damage claim?  Your customer will, after reading and/or viewing the information we send them.

We try our best to answer customers’ questions before they ask.  Customers often say they are pleasantly surprised at how hands-on and helpful our shipping service is.  At Team Alex, we understand that transporting their vehicle is usually the final step in the car-buying experience and our goal is to make it a great one.
